Begin at the Beginning, or Starting a Blog

“Begin at the beginning,” the King said, very gravely, “and go on till you come to the end: then stop.”

I hate starting a new blog. I always feel like I owe people something, like an explanation. Except there are never any people yet. Plus I never have a good feel for what I’m doing, because my blogs in the past, with the exception of one I did about a school assignment, have never had a clear direction.

The problem with this one is that I have a fuzzy direction. That is to say, there is a direction, but I’m not sure it’s exactly clear. It’s a bit like the Missouri and Mississippi rivers as they meet in St. Louis: Muddy and Murky.

But I just have this idea. There’s no turning back now. What I realized I need (thanks to puttylike.com) is to connect the dots, and I’m hoping this will help me do that.

Plus I’ve been reading a lot more blogs, and watching a ton of vlogs, and I think I’m getting the hang of how it all works.

So now I have all these thoughts, and I’m hoping to post quite a bit here at the beginning, and then at least once a week after I run out of intial-excitement-steam.

Besides that, there is something that always seems to be true:

“I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.” ~Alice
